Located in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest in a remote and preserved region, Juma Amazon Lodge is a small and comfortable hotel designed to be fully integrated into the forest. Its construction and operation respect the limits of the environment, after all, without the forest the hotel would not exist.
Juma Amazon Lodge has only 20 bungalows, with its construction fully integrated into the Amazon rainforest. It was built on solid ground on stilts, in the treetops. This procedure is necessary to meet the needs of the rivers during flood periods, when the water level can rise up to 15 meters.
All the materials used in the construction of Juma, which are abundant in the region, were carefully extracted from the forest itself, in the hotel area, using the same process used by riverside populations in their homes.
